Unfortunately, we are not able to visit schools and deliver our full catalogue of activities at the moment. We have adapted selected workshops to be delivered virtually via Teams or Zoom, all of these are listed below.

Disease Dash

45-60mins | up to 40 students | Yr7-13
A medical science orientated board game to be played in groups of four or more. The aim of the game is to stop your disease pathogen evolving before the other teams!

Genetics and Disease

1hr | up to 40 students | Yr9-13
This workshop covers the basics of genetics, PCR and gel electrophoresis with a PCR practical.

Sport Science Workshop

Introduction to what Sport Science is like at unviersity with ECG, pulse oximeter and peak flow meter practical

Medical Ethics

1-1.5hr | up to 40 students | Yr12-13
What do you think is right and wrong? Explore medical ethics in this workshop, with pupils putting themselves in various ethical scenarios to discuss what they would do in that situation. This is great for any pupils considering a medical career, especially for pupils who are preparing for a Medicine or Dentistry Interview.

STEM Outreach - Medical Ethics

This is a practical workshop that is useful for students thinking of applying to Medicine, or who will be attending a Medicine interview. The students will learn more about what to expect at Multiple Mini Interviews (MMIs), how to answer questions and work in groups to practice this.

STEM Outreach - Medical Interviews

24 Hours in A&E

1hr | up to 250 students | Yr 7-11
Students put themselves in the shoes of an Emergency Medicine Doctor, working through cases that come in to A&E to discuss how they would treat the patient. Students learn about the pressures and rewards of a career in medicine.

Saved by the Gel

1hr | up to 30 students | Yr9-13
A workshop that explores a career in pharmacy, introducing pupils to the roles that a pharmacist has as well as make their own pharmaceutical gel! Explores both the clinical and scientific side of pharmacy.
