Information for Schools and Colleges

One Day On-Campus Events

One Day On-Campus Events

There are lots of opportunities for schools and colleges to attend outreach events at our city centre campus.

Our exciting range of on-campus events for all year groups are designed to support, inform and inspire young people about Higher Education and to help them to consider their options for life after school or college.

All on-campus events can include a mix of talks and presentations, interactive activities, subject specific tasters and campus tours.

They are organised by our experienced staff, and Student Ambassadors (current Newcastle University students) often get involved too, giving young visitors even more opportunities to hear what it's really like to study at university.

Benchmarks

All of our activities are designed to support schools and colleges with the delivery of Gatsby Benchmarks, the Career Development Institute Framework and the National Curriculum.

Help with costs

We can support the costs associated with bringing students from your school or college to events on campus. The funding is available to state schools/colleges only.

To apply, complete our Visit Bursary application form. Your visit to campus must be pre-arranged before your bursary request can be processed and if your claim is over £350 you will need to provide evidence of costs.

Visit Bursary applications will be considered on an individual basis, taking into account the number of visits and cumulative amount claimed per school during this academic year.
