Description

The ultimate sleepover at the Great North Museum: Hancock!

The aim of the event is to increase awareness of Higher Education and raise students aspirations whilst developing teamwork and communication skills.

How to apply

Application Forms will be available to download from mid-September.

Application forms should be completed by the student, their parent/carer and teacher. Once the form is complete, teaching staff should return it to the Student Recruitment Team.

Please note: There are limited places available on this very popular event, therefore the submission of an application form does not guarantee a student's place.

If this event is oversubscribed, places will be allocated according to the individual circumstances of each student based on the information they provide using our Residential Event Eligibility Criteria alongside considerations of pupil numbers per school.

Information for School Staff

It is not compulsory for school staff to attend this event, but are welcome to do so if they wish*. However, if the party of students from your school is extremely large we may request a member of staff to attend. If you would like to arrange transport for a group of students from your school to attend this event, please complete our Visit Bursary application form.

*Unfortunately we are unable to provide accommodation for teachers but are able to provide local hotel information on request.

Parent/Carer Information Evening

We will be holding an information evening for students who will be attending the event and their parents/carers at the Great North Museum: Hancock on Thursday 5 January 2017 to provide further information about Night at the Museum. This will provide further information about the Night at the Museum event and is an opportunity to meet some of the organisers. School staff are also welcome to attend this evening.
