PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route

Return to Teachers Toolkit Search

Description:

The PARTNERS Programme Supported Entry Route could enable eligible students to receive a conditional offer from the University that's lower than the typical offer for the degree programme(s) they have applied for. The offer is slightly lower as they also have to complete and pass an Academic Summer School.

The Programme aims to support and encourage eligible students who have the potential to succeed at Newcastle University. It supports them through the application process, on results day and, if they wish, after they enter the University.

As well as receiving a lower offer to Newcastle University, the PARTNERS Programme supported entry route, and related activities, provide students with the opportunity to:

  • visit Newcastle University, use the facilities and find out what it is really like
  • help them make informed choices about Higher Education
  • develop the skills necessary to be successful at university
  • meet other students and increase their confidence

Who is it for?

The PARTNERS Programme supported entry route is intended for people who have the potential to succeed at Newcastle University but who, for a variety of reasons, may not feel confident about applying, or are not sure that university is for them. Students must fulfill certain eligibility criteria in order to take part.
