In this gallery based workshop at the Great North Museum: Hancock, students will investigate an aspect of life in the 2nd century AD. From the role of local women to being a soldier along the wall the students will get the opportunity to use handling objects and the museum displays to investigate their topic before they will present their findings back to the class and maybe even Hadrian himself. . .

This workshop is an enquiry led session which will give students the opportunity to learn about life along the wall and the relationship between the Romans and the local tribes. Students will benefit from having some prior knowledge of the Romans before taking part in this workshop.
