Greek Art

Return to Teachers Toolkit Search

We know a lot about Ancient Greek life and myths, much of which we have found from the evidence they left behind. Come to the Great North Museum: Hancock and discover what we can find out through studying our extensive Ancient Greek collection.

The session begins in the classroom, exploring replica Greek vases and what we can learn from them, before moving into the gallery, where the students will research themes and ideas in preparation for their final piece.

To conclude the workshop, students will use the information gathered both in the classroom and gallery to create their own themed Greek vase collage.
