Preparing to Study Geography at University

Return to Teachers Toolkit Search

Description:

Are you or your students interested in meeting University Geography staff and current students to talk about what Geography is like at University?

On demand members of staff from geography are happy to visit schools and colleges in Tyne and Wear, County Durham, Northumberland and Teesside to give an overview of “what university geography is like” and the ways in which it is similar and different to A-level geography. We also regularly give talks on the type of jobs our graduates typically undertake at Year 12 careers events.

All talks range in length from 15-45 mins. Where possible we ask a student ambassador from geography to accompany us, to provide their perspective of these issues.
