Background
Dr Dauncey graduated in European Studies and Economics, before doing an MA in French Linguistics. He undertook a PhD on the politics of the French space programme. Before coming to Newcastle he worked in Bordeaux at the ESCAE, at the University of Bath, at the Université Paris 7 (Jussieu), and occasionally at the Ecole Nationale d'Administration and the Assemblée Nationale in Paris.
