Background
Mrs Hill started her teaching career in 1983 after she graduated from Caldas University. She taught Spanish and French for five years in Colombia.
In England she has taught Spanish to GCSE and A Level for over 19 years at various schools.
She joined Newcastle University in 1997 when she started teaching Spanish for the Degree Programme and for the Foreign Language Programme. She has taught courses at all levels, from beginners to Advanced levels.
Her responsibility at Newcastle is for the Spanish language component of the SML’s degrees.

Modern Languages Teaching Degree (Spanish, French, English, Literature, Phonetics, Semantics,Communication, Teaching Practices, Psychology) at Caldas University.
MA in Linguistics for TESOL (Dissertation title: “Teaching Learning Strategies to the Adult Learner”) at Newcastle University.
