Dignity and Respect Policy

The University has a Dignity and Respect Policy (PDF: 301KB).

The aim of the policy is to promote a working and learning environment in which harassment and bullying are known to be unacceptable and where individuals have the confidence to deal with harassment and bullying without fear of victimisation.

A complaint can be made if you believe you are subject to:

  • unwanted conduct affecting your dignity
  • actions or comments that are viewed as demeaning and unacceptable, this may include; physical, verbal, non-verbal conduct or bullying

You should seek to resolve issues informally in the first instance by following the Dignity and Respect Policy.

If the harassment or bullying continues or is more serious, you should follow the Student Complaint Procedure.

This policy is maintained by the University's People Services team.
