What is the charge? Immigration Health Surcharge

From 6th April 2015, non-EEA nationals who are already in the UK and are extending their visa will have to pay an Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) which goes towards the National Health Service (NHS). Once you have paid the surcharge you will be able to access the National Health Service (NHS) in the same way as a permanent UK resident. Payment may still be required for some services such as dental treatment and eye tests.
