Transgender and Non-binary

Newcastle University Student Wellbeing Services is fully dedicated to enhancing the learning, research and living experience of all students, ensuring that we are fully inclusive and supportive of all members of the University community.

We welcome all who consider themselves part of the transgender and non-binary community.  We do all we can to ensure that students identifying as transgender and non-binary are not disadvantaged.

In collaboration with the Newcastle University Students’ Union, we recognise the challenges that some transgender and non-binary students may experience.  We work closely with your Students’ Union to mitigate as far as is possible the impact these challenges have on your life.

Confidential, tailored support is available for any student concerned about transgender and/or non-binary issues and we encourage you to contact your Student Union Welfare and Equality Officer and /or Part Time Officers or the Student Wellbeing Service, so we can collectively explore your needs and the support options available.

We are always here!
