Weekly Drop-in Sessions

If you’re a registered Newcastle University student and you have a simple finance query you can come to our weekly drop-in. The service runs on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If your query is urgent you can contact us via web-form or phone.*

What can I discuss?

Come along if you:
  • are struggling with money and need help
  • have a query about student finance you feel can be answered quickly
  • have a question about funding that the University offers
  • want general information about external sources of funding

When are the sessions?

Every Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4pm.

Where are the sessions?

You can register for drop-in at the level 2 Helpdesk in King’s Gate. Take a ticket when you arrive and when it’s your turn you’ll be called to the helpdesk. To be fair to everyone we only allow students to register for drop-in from 14:00 (2pm).

  • you can’t pre-book an appointment as the service is first-come first-served, so you might need to wait a little bit to be seen
  • there are 6 slots lasting 15 minutes each
  • slots will be given to the first six students in the order they arrive
  • we’ll collect you from the waiting area
