Community Foundation

County Durham Foundation: give money to all areas of County Durham and Darlington and also have some funds that distribute grants to other areas of the country

Greggs Foundation: People in need who live in the north east of England. Priority is given to children and families. Grants range from £50 to £150 and are generally given for essential items such as, washing machines, fridges, cookers, furniture, baby equipment, decorating materials, carpets, clothing and school uniforms. 

The Sunderland Guild of Help: People in need who live in Sunderland and the surrounding area. Support is given for the advancement of health and the relief of poverty. Recent grants have ranged from £50 to £150 and been made for clothing, fuel, holidays, household goods and children’s items.

The Teesside Emergency Relief Fund: People in need who live in the county borough of Teesside.

Westoe Educational Charity: helps people under 25, resident in the Metropolitan Borough Council of South Tyneside (or have a parent resident) and are in financial need.
