Accommodation Service


Residents are supported by on site staff during the day; an emergency out-of-hours service is provided by Accommodation staff and University Security staff when offices are closed.

In-sessional English support


For students who do not have English as their first language, the In-Sessional English team are here to help you achieve your potential in your academic subject.

Mind the Gap, the SU’s mental health society


Regular stress-busting socials, self-care tips and signposting, discussions and talks on mental health issues.

Peer mentoring


Helping students to make a smooth transition into the University through direct access to the advice and support of a more experienced peer, schemes are run at school or subject level and are supported by a staff co-ordinator.

Safety and security

Free app for all students and staff that connects directly to the University security team when in need of help while on campus - if feeling threatened, a victim of assault or robbery or in need of first aid or other assistance.
