Summer Term In Person

Be Connected During the Summer Term 2021 - In Person

The Be Connected programme will help you discover what help, support and social activities are available to you across the university and the changes to the services as the restrictions are lifting.

The majority of teaching may be online but the University, support services and NUSU are very much open!

Currently the majority of support and social activities are available online. If you are in or planning to come to Newcastle we will be increasing the number of in person events and activities as Government restrictions lift. Please keep checking back to this page for more information.

In addition to the events below the Sports Centre is open and use of the Gym is free to all students until August 31st. For details on what's available and how to book check out the Newcastle University Sports pages

All in person activities will comply with Government guidance.

If you are completing your academic year remotely check out what social activities and support sessions are available online throughout the summer term on our Be Connected - Online page.

Be Connected

Solidariteam is a new campaign run by the Chaplaincy. We are encouraging a university-wide volunteering project for all students and staff. By taking part in this, you will become a member of Solidariteam and receive rewards for your participation. Most importantly of all, through your involvement in this, you can make real, positive change to people who most need a helping hand. It's taking place from May 24th- June 21st. For more information on how to get involved and give back to our neighbours by coming together as a community committed to showing solidarity and helping people and our environment see the Solidariteam information.
