Institute for Sustainability Internationalisation Funding


To further strengthen excellent research-related activities which contribute to the Institute for Sustainability Internationalisation Strategy and three research challenges, applications from Newcastle University staff are invited through the Institute for Sustainability Internationalisation funding mechanism. The intention is to provide timely support for interdisciplinary research teams to develop or consolidate existing international collaborations and partnerships, leading to a significant international activity.

The Internationalisation Funding call is an open call, where applications can be submitted at any time, or until available funding has been fully allocated, whichever is the earliest. Information on the call status is given below. Applications can be submitted at any time while the call is open, and the response will be given within 1 month of application.

Value: up to £6,000

Project duration: Projects can commence at any time after receipt of award letter and be of any duration provided the timetable is set out in the application.

Submission via: MyProjects Proposals, attaching a completed application form providing project details. 

Eligibility: PI must be a member of NU research (e.g. Research Associate) or academic staff. Proposals may include students and external partners.
