The module develops the student's skills in acquiring, sorting and presenting information in a new technical area.
Outline Of Syllabus
An individual assignment to survey recent published literature in a new technological area and present a report on the findings. The assignment is carried out in consultation with an academic staff supervisor.

Teaching Rationale And Relationship
This module requires the student to undertake a survey of recent published literature in a new technological area and presents a report on the findings. The student is expected to do this independently.
The format of resits will be determined by the Board of Examiners

Assessment Rationale And Relationship
From the report the ability of the student will be assessed regarding;
-subject-specific, Core and Cognitive Skills - established from an assessment of the final report with respect to abilities to acquire, sort and use information, and also present it in a lucid and logical manner.
