Our service is without charge and is available to all current students: Tel: 0191 208 3333
We offer counselling appointments:
- 09.00 - 21.00 Monday - Thursday
- 09.00 - 17.00 on Fridays during term-time.
- Outside of term-time we offer appointments from 09.00 - 17.00 Monday - Friday.
Please note we are not an emergency service and do not run an out of hours service.
We understand the concern that can sometimes accompany a loved one being at University. We take all concerns raised about our students wellbeing seriously and always act to ensure their safety and wellbeing is a priority. We actively encourage students to talk with their families and wider support networks, especially when they may be struggling.
We are also happy to disclose information to you if we have the students consent. We recognise if you don’t have this consent, it can be frustrating and in such situations we will always encourage the student to communicate directly with you and support them to overcome any fears they may have about doing so, while respecting their right to privacy.
