Autoimmune Disease

Listening support for people with autoimmune disease.
The Wren Project is a registered charity which provides free, ongoing, one-to-one listening support for people diagnosed with autoimmune disease in the UK. Our individualised support helps people feel less isolated and more equipped to face the emotional and social upheaval of living with an autoimmune disease. We offer ongoing, fortnightly 50-minute sessions over video call. Our support lasts around 9-12 months.
At the individual level, our support:
- Reduces loneliness by building community amongst people with autoimmune disease
- Increases hope for the future
- Builds resilience in coping with the emotional impact of living with autoimmune disease
- Empowers individuals to better advocate their health needs to employers
- Encourages autonomy as active participants in determining health care
