Climate Action Week
NCL 2020: 16 – 22 March
In light of the ongoing concerns around Coronavirus, Newcastle University has taken the decision to cancel all non-essential events until the end of term (27 March).
This decision applies to events within Climate Action Week NCL.
While this is obviously disappointing news, the University is committed to taking every precaution to limit the spread of the virus within our community and to protect the wellbeing of our students, colleagues and members of the public who visit our campus.
Thank you for your understanding. We will look forward to welcoming you back to our events as soon as they resume.
#TakeActionNCL: A week of engagement and action to address the climate emergency
In April 2019, Newcastle University declared a climate emergency. Climate Action Week NCL is a week of informative and inspiring events and campaigns to raise awareness of the climate emergency and help you to take action.
Get involved to learn more about what you can do and what Newcastle University is doing in the current climate emergency.
The planet is in crisis, from deforestation to pollution of land, water and air. It’s up to all of us to fix it.
Take a step in the right direction by calculating your own Environmental Footprint. The results might surprise you.
