Environment & Ethics Discussion Group

Environment & Ethics Discussion Group

Thursday 19 March 2020

In light of the ongoing concerns around Coronavirus, Newcastle University has taken the decision to cancel all non-essential events until the end of term (27 March).

This decision applies to events within Climate Action Week NCL.

While this is obviously disappointing news, the University is committed to taking every precaution to limit the spread of the virus within our community and to protect the wellbeing of our students, colleagues and members of the public who visit our campus.

Thank you for your understanding. We will look forward to welcoming you back to our events as soon as they resume.

Environment & Ethics Discussion Group

For Newcastle University students

  • Room G25, Devonshire Building
  • Thursday 19 March 2020; 17:30-19:30

The next event in the schedule of highly popular Environment & Ethics Discussion Groups. The events are organised by NUSU’s Environment & Ethics Officer, Emilie Coutin.

Students on campus.

We’ve had enlightening and impactful presentations and discussions at these events so far. The first was on Travel and the second on Diet.

Each event starts with an overview of the science behind sustainable best practice. The Sustainability Team then gives insight into how this is applied at Newcastle University. There are thought-provoking discussion sessions throughout.

Join us for the next Environment & Ethics Discussion Group on the theme of Waste – Sustainability and Accountability.
