Climate Emergency: Road to Net-Zero

Climate Emergency: Road to Net-Zero

Monday 16 March 2020

In light of the ongoing concerns around Coronavirus, Newcastle University has taken the decision to cancel all non-essential events until the end of term (27 March).

This decision applies to events within Climate Action Week NCL.

While this is obviously disappointing news, the University is committed to taking every precaution to limit the spread of the virus within our community and to protect the wellbeing of our students, colleagues and members of the public who visit our campus.

Thank you for your understanding. We will look forward to welcoming you back to our events as soon as they resume.

Keep an eye out for updates in online content about our climate emergency timeline and the road to net-zero. During our Climate Action Week, we will communicate the outcomes from our Climate Conversation event and the work either side of this.

If you have questions about the University's sustainability progress in the current climate emergency, come along to the Q&A.
