Let’s Talk About Climate Change

Let’s Talk About Climate Change

An informal discussion about climate change and why it matters.

In light of the ongoing concerns around Coronavirus, Newcastle University has taken the decision to cancel all non-essential events until the end of term (27 March).

This decision applies to events within Climate Action Week NCL.

While this is obviously disappointing news, the University is committed to taking every precaution to limit the spread of the virus within our community and to protect the wellbeing of our students, colleagues and members of the public who visit our campus.

Thank you for your understanding. We will look forward to welcoming you back to our events as soon as they resume.

For University staff and students

  • Thursday 19 March 2020; 12:30-14:00
  • G.003 Event Space, Urban Sciences Building, Newcastle Helix

Join us for an informal discussion about climate change and why it matters to everyone. Focusing on both local and global issues, we will share positive, practical ways that we can all play our part in talking about this issue. Climate scientist Professor Katharine Hayhoe, our guest speaker, will facilitate the discussion.

We hope that this event will encourage you to continue talking about climate change. We hope it will encourage you to get involved in tackling the climate emergency.

Prof Katherine Hayhoe, climate scientist

When it comes to climate change, the most important thing any one of us can do is talk about it.
