Newcastle University Fashion Society’s Fashion Show: Zero Waste

Newcastle University Fashion Society’s Fashion Show: Zero Waste

Sunday 22 March 2020

In light of the ongoing concerns around Coronavirus, Newcastle University has taken the decision to cancel all non-essential events until the end of term (27 March).

This decision applies to events within Climate Action Week NCL.

While this is obviously disappointing news, the University is committed to taking every precaution to limit the spread of the virus within our community and to protect the wellbeing of our students, colleagues and members of the public who visit our campus.

Thank you for your understanding. We will look forward to welcoming you back to our events as soon as they resume.

Public event

  • The Boiler Shop, 20 South St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 3PE
  • Sunday 22 March 2020; 17:00 until late

"As a big society we have a unique voice, impactful both on our campus and outside of it. For our third annual fashion show, we want to fully utilise it and give exposure to important issues that concern our generation.” – Newcastle University Fashion Society (NUFS)

NUFS’s biggest event, their annual fashion show, has taken on the theme of zero waste.

NUFS wants to acknowledge and act upon the link between the fashion industry and climate change. They know that by doing this they are also reflecting society members’ concerns. Their fashion show is organised entirely by students. It rejects unsustainable and unethical fashion practices. It will be an artistic and thought-provoking evening.

Head to NUFS’s website to find out more about the show and buy tickets.
