Social Justice

Newcastle is committed to social justice in all that we do; we are dedicated to embedding social justice in our research, education and engagement work.

Social justice is about the distribution of society's benefits and burdens, looking at individual fairness and the ways in which social processes and institutions work to produce fair outcomes. Social justice concerns the worth and rights of all citizens in all countries; addressing issues of fairness and inclusion, poverty and inequality, power and responsibility between the individual and the state.

We are committed to embedding principles of social justice in all that we do here at Newcastle.
