Net Zero Taskforce

Newcastle University takes part in Newcastle City Council’s Net Zero Taskforce. The taskforce is co-chaired by Professor Hayley Fowler of the School of Engineering. It will bring together organisations in the city who have carbon neutrality targets to support each other.

VONNE: Voluntary Organisations Network North East

We contribute to VONNE’s Climate Project. The project aims to make the North East the greenest region in the UK. Consultations are taking place to drive this aim and enhance North East life within a new green economy.

Urban Green Newcastle

Urban Green Newcastle is an independent charity that manages Newcastle’s parks and allotments. We are exploring how we can engage with them and help them with their goals.

Environment, nature and landscape

Newcastle University's Environment, Nature and Landscape theme encompasses environmental and social justice. It focuses on exploring social inequalities. It promotes social justice in agriculture and energy.
