Students will utilise learning in the workplace throughout the two-year course. There's part-time blended learning with a three-day intensive teaching block each month during teaching time.

Employers need to provide apprentices with 20% off the job time for course activities. Apprentices may need access to organisational data. You may need to stretch project opportunities beyond the scope of their current role. Employers should provide a workplace mentor. The University will support this mentor, as appropriate.
Fees and funding
The cost of the apprenticeship is c. £24,000 covering the two years.
Businesses can fund £18,000 of the fees through their apprenticeship levy. Non-levy paying employers, such as SMEs, can request funding through the Apprenticeship Service. If accepted, this involves co-investment. The business pays 5% towards the cost of apprenticeship training. They can apply to the Government to cover 95% of the levy funding maximum of £18,000.
Students can access the course as an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA). This is through a non-apprenticeship route. The learner pays the fees, through a scholarship or by their employer directly.
