Croda is a raw materials manufacturer that serves three core market sectors. The aim of the KTP with Newcastle University’s Institute of Cellular Medicine was to improve sun care products, sold to the Personal Care market. The research focused on the impact of Infrared Radiation (IR) on skin with a view to developing products to protect against any negative effects.

Seven Stories’ mission is to save, celebrate and share Britain’s rich literary heritage for children by developing and making accessible nationally important pre and post publication artwork, manuscripts and archives. The museum undertook this KTP with Newcastle University’s School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics with a view to increasing its appeal to adult audiences.

ADL Smartcare Ltd
ADL Smartcare Ltd provide systems to support the provision of assistive technology. These systems help maximise the physical independence of older people at home. For this KTP, they worked with Newcastle University to improve their services using data analysis and mining techniques.

Royston sell, supply, install, and maintain, diesel engines and generators. To make best use of the considerable data generated by their “enginei” product, Royston collaborated on this interdisciplinary KTP with Newcastle University’s School of Enginnering and Industrial Statistics Research Unit.
