Aims

To undertake a limited, independent research project in a relevant area of translating and interpreting studies.
To report on research in a substantial document showing a coherent grasp of theory, sound investigative skills and clear, in-depth analysis.

As an alternative to a Translating or Interpreting Project on a translating and/or interpreting-based MA, students undertake independent research in translating or interpreting studies under the guidance of a supervisor. They then write up their work in a dissertation of 15,000 words (+/-10%).

Outline Of Syllabus

As these are individual projects, there is no pre-set syllabus.
