Aims
The overall aim of this module is to arm students with the necessary skills to undertake their own research within the field of international business management; through this process of discovery, students will be better able to understand, evaluate and critique knowledge within their field of study. This learning will predominantly be achieved through lectures and a series of practical sessions, where students will collect and analyse data, and address the issues involved in doing research.

On completion of this module students will be able to:
- better understand how knowledge is created within their field of study
- recognise the issues to be considered when collecting and analysing data
- defend the relative merits of a chosen research design, methodology and/or method when addressing a specific research topic, aim or question
Intended Skill Outcomes
On completion of this module students will be able to:
- appraise the rigour of differing research designs, through an analysis of their fit with the research questions(s) addressed and data involved
- argue for the appropriateness of methodology and methods, and approaches to data collection and data analysis within academic research
