Eleanor Jones is a molecular geneticist working on DNA-based detection, identification and surveillance methods for plant and bee health, and for monitoring the environment. Current specific interests are the application of high throughput sequencing to monitor the spread of eukaryotic pests, and novel methods in DNA extraction and molecular diagnostics.
