Nineteenth Century Newcastle-upon-Tyne

Step back in time and see what Newcastle used to be like. Using a variety of primary sources students will find out about aspects of 19th century Newcastle, e.g. mining, medicine and housing. There is the option to extend this workshop into a daylong research task using enquiry based learning and utilising Newcastle University Library resources.
