However, it’s not only the city

unspoilt beaches and wonderful
countryside are just a short journey
by Metro or bus. The attractive
coastal towns of Tynemouth and
Whitley Bay o er olden beaches,
surf lessons and fish and chips by
the sea. The World Herita e Sites
of Hadrian’s Wall and Durham
