The Global Urban Education Consortium (GUPEC) project is lead by Cat Button and Gabriel Silvester, alongside Indian partners. This is funded by the British Council through the Going Global Partnerships Grant.

This week, Gabriel Silvestre and William Otchere-Darko have travelled to India where they have helped to coordinate a workshop with colleagues from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and the School of Planning and Architecture Delhi. The 'Rethinking urban planning pedagogy to address the future challenges of urbanisation' 2-day workshop took place on the 22nd and 23rd May at IIT Roorkee campus and brought together scholars and students from eight universities across India to discuss the content of postgraduate education in urban and regional planning.

Through a collaborative effort, the team produced module frameworks for courses focusing on spatial inequity, economic transformation, urban technology and climate adaptation. Feedback from participants is detailed below.
