Creative Careers

The North East has a booming independent arts and music scene.

It's also the UK’s fastest growing tech cluster outside London, up by 30% more companies in the past four years, including companies such as Accenture and Sage.

The region has a strong, distinctive identity and a rich, deep cultural heritage. That’s why 2018 sees the region hosting a £5 million project with a £15 million legacy fund, the Great Exhibition of the North - a summer of amazing exhibits, inspired technology, vibrant street performance and magical experiences.

The North East is a truly wonderful place for culture and creativity, with a depth and diversity of roles, career paths and opportunities.

Every year, we invite experienced industry professionals and creative practitioners from across the UK from TV, film, radio, publishing and gaming to share their experiences, hints and tips at Creative Careers, an exciting one-day event.

This year, Creative Careers will take place on Wednesday 28 February 2018.  Employers attending this year include the BBC, Seven Stories, Generator, Inpress Books, News Associates and Northern Film & Media.
