Working With Schools

We are always happy to engage with schools to promote science as a discipline and give students an understanding of what is involved in being a research scientist.

Medical imaging techniques create a wealth of information about the body and how it functions. To achieve these measurements we merge together many disciplines and aspects of science including:

  • magnetism
  • quantum mechanical physics
  • synthetic chemistry
  • engineering
  • radio frequency technology and electronics
  • computing and imaging analysis
  • biology
  • physiology
  • psychology

Many aspects of medical imaging are now also included in the A-level curriculum.
