CLACS Mobility Fund Deadline 1st December 2017

This call is open to eligible staff and postgraduate students (PGR and PGT) from any School or Faculty at Newcastle University and is applications are welcomed to fund research trips to Latin American and Caribbean regions.

 

Guidance notes: CLACS Mobility Fund awards are available in 2017-18 to all staff and registered postgraduate students of Newcastle University to travel to Iberian, Latin American and Caribbean countries to undertake research projects (defined below) connected to Iberian, Latin American or Caribbean studies.

 Amount of awards: The amount of each award will not exceed £1000. Awards must be taken up within the 2017-18 academic year.

 Selection Criteria: Applications will be judged on the following criteria: quality, originality, value for money (including evidence of co-funding where appropriate), and feasibility of the research proposal.

 As well as discrete research projects, we also welcome pump priming projects for future research, activities to build new research collaborations (including interdisciplinary ones and/or those with non-academic stakeholders) and impact activities (including those that aim to transform engagement type activities into impact focused outputs).

 **Proposal limit is 1000 words.**

 Student applications should be accompanied by a supporting statement from the supervisor which must be signed and dated.

 In line with the University’s code of practice on ethics in research, ethical approval will be required before funds can be disbursed.
