Newcastle’s fourth Climate Change Forum will be hosted in collaboration with Nexus and Stagecoach to talk about how we can green the city’s transport infrastructure to support our decarbonisation goals.

About the Climate Change Forum

Newcastle’s Climate Change Forum is a new initiative seeking to bring the city together to discuss how climate change is being tackled by all the anchor institutions and to give the public a voice in local climate action.

To date Newcastle City Council have held three Climate Change Forum’s: October 2024, February 2025 and July 2025.

Each forum has focused on a key area related to our Net Zero action plan and looked to create action focused outcomes:

• October 2024: Focused on Energy, Transport and Waste
• February 2025: Focused on North East Community Forest, Blue Green Newcastle and Newcastle’s Nature Networks
• July 2025: Focused on Energy and Heat in partnership with Bring Energy.
