Benefactors' Fund for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship

Set up by the family of a Newcastle alumnus, the Benefactors' Fund for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship aims to transform business in the North East.

It provides funding to support teaching, research and training to help small businesses grow and grants to start-up companies.

The fund aims to stimulate entrepreneurial activity at Newcastle University, across the region and beyond. The objective is to build skills among:

  • students
  • post-doctoral researchers
  • recent graduates
  • academic staff

The overall aim is to enhance the enterprise landscape at Newcastle University. This is done by funding activities which inspire and help to build skills among members of the University community and by funding commercialisation opportunities.

Eventually this approach will bring real benefits in terms of job and wealth creation in the region.

The fund is intended as a vehicle to draw in all those who wish to support this initiative through private donations, legacies or corporate sponsorship. Anyone who shares the ambition to transform business can join the fund.

Find out more about how to donate to the fund on the Alumni and Supporters website.
