A paper co-authored by academics Chris Hicks (Professor of Operations Management), Tom McGovern (Senior Lecturer in Business Strategy) and Adrian Small (Lecturer in Operations Management) has been hand selected by the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence editorial team as a 2016 Highly Commended Paper, and is now freely available to view in recognition of their achievement.
Entitled, “Doing transformational change in the English NHS in the context of 'big bang' redisorganisation: findings from the North East transformation system” the paper was originally published in the Journal of Health Organization and Management 2015 Vol 29 1E.
The Emerald Literati Awards are now in their 23rd year and were established to celebrate and reward outstanding contributions of authors and reviewers to scholarly research.
Highly commended papers are chosen based on the contribution of something new to the body of knowledge, either in terms of approach or subject matter; rigour in terms of argument or analysis; relevance; and demonstrating excellence within their own way.
To celebrate the award all authors receive a certificate which will be given to them during a presentation in the coming weeks.
