Cafe Scientifique: The future of energy

What could the UK’s energy network look like in the future? This event was part of the ‘Inspired by’ Great Exhibition of the North Programme.

What could the UK's energy network look like in the future? How will we manage to make the complete transition to low-carbon sources of energy while tackling other major challenges like fuel poverty?

This evening Café Scientifique was held at Newcastle University Urban Sciences Building at Newcastle Helix and was led by experts from the EPSRC National Centre for Energy Systems Integration (CESI). The event featured talks and discussions on how we can create an energy network that is flexible, affordable and sustainable for all.
