Professor Sara Walker, CESI Director, is interviewed by ITV News about hydrogen economy.

This ITV News article from August 2021 answers fundamental questions about hydrogen economy in response to the UK Hydrogen Strategy

As Net-Zero targets have been outlined, hydrogen is thought to be an effective replacement for natural gas. Unlike natural gas, using hydrogen does not emit carbon when burnt, instead, it produces water. It is clear to see why hydrogen could supply a third of the UK’s energy by 2050.

Professor Sara Walker, Director of CESI, is interviewed by Tom Clarke at ITV News and comments on uses of hydrogen within UK industries.

The article further outlines the advantages and disadvantages of using hydrogen over other forms of energy sources, and if it is finanically viable for hydrogen to become a major source of energy in the UK.
