Multilingual Choir

Do you like singing, clapping, stomping, learning songs in different languages?

Date/Time: Wednesday 16th October 17:30

Venue: OLB 2.22

We invite students and members of staff to join a Newcastle University a capella choir. The only previous skill you need is a willingness to take part!

We will start with songs in Spanish and Portuguese, adding other languages as the repertoire grows. We will first work on a short set as part of an event in December. Join us on Wednesday 16 October at 5:30pm in room 2.22, Old Library Building, to find your voice!

Juan Manuel Loaiza (PhD at the Sonic Arts Research Centre in QUB) and Afra Jurkiewicz (pianist and MA at Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Centre) will be in charge of arrangements and rehearsals. The choir is supported by Newcastle University Arts and Cultures and the School of Modern Languages.
