Spotlight on Brazil

You are invited to this University networking event to help generate cross-disciplinary collaborations in sustainable development in Brazil

Date/Time: Wednesday 14th June 2017, 13:00-14:30

Venue: tbc

You are invited to this University networking event (in ‘Pecha Kucha’ format) at Newcastle University (room to be confirmed).

Aim:

To bring researchers together, from different disciplines and faculties, who have active research or have research interests in sustainable development in Brazil in order to:

  •  Highlight Newcastle research taking place in Brazil
  •  Stimulate interdisciplinary research connections through networking
  •  Gain insights into development challenges in Brazil
  •  Position researchers to create links to enable funding applications which require an interdisciplinary approach, such as Global Challenges Research Funding and Newton fund

Format:

There will be dynamic ‘Pecha-Kucha’ style presentations and networking over refreshments.

Pecha-Kucha is a dynamic, rapid method of communication, where presentations are very short and timed. Newcastle University researchers will be given a template for a 3 minute presentation giving an intro to their research in Brazil and their partners.

If you could like to participate please click the button below to register. Part of the registration is a brief summary of your own research interests in Brazil. The summaries will be shared with all participants to further facilitate networking after the event.

Newcastle University is running a series of Spotlight events on different countries, and we have received excellent feedback that these events are helping to generate cross-disciplinary collaborations.
