Dr Matthew Forshaw

Lecturer in Data Science

Background

Matthew Forshaw is a Lecturer for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Cloud Computing for Big Data at Newcastle University. He previously received his PhD Computing Science, M.Sc. Internet Technologies and Enterprise Computing and B.Sc. (Hons) Computing Science (Networked Systems and Internet Technologies), also from Newcastle University. His research interests include operating policies for energy efficiency in large scale computing environments, Internet of Things and Learning Analytics. Matthew is also currently Membership Chair of the IEEE STC on Sustainable Computing.
