'November' shortlisted for the prestigious T S Eliot Prize 2011

NCLA is proud to announce Professor Sean O’Brien’s seventh collection of poetry, November, has been shortlisted for the T S Eliot Prize 2011. Sean’s previous collection, The Drowned Book, was awarded both the Forward and T S Eliot prizes in 2007. The full shortlist can be read here, and the winner will be announced on the evening of Monday 16th January 2012 at the T S Eliot Prize Award Ceremony, which will be held in the Haberdashers' Hall.

Sean will be delivering this year’s Bloodaxe Poetry lecture, Journeys to the Interior: Ideas of England in Contemporary Poetry, on Monday 5th, Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th December. The lecture is free to attend.
