Sophie F. Baker wins Eric Gregory Award

MA Creative Writing Graduate wins award for poets under 30

NCLA is proud to congratulate Sophie F. Baker, a graduate of the Newcastle University MA Creative Writing programme, on winning an Eric Gregory award from the Society of Authors.

The Eric Gregory award is for collections by poets under 30. The recipients of this year’s awards where announced last night. To find out more about the winners, please visit the Society of Authors website.

Submissions are still open for the NCLA Belonging Poetry Competition for under 19s living in the North East. We invite poems written on the theme of belonging to be submitted to us before the 20th July. For full details please click here.
