The Northern Institute for Cancer Research (NICR), part of Newcastle’s renowned Faculty of Medical Sciences, is working tirelessly to understand more about cancer and how we can develop more effective treatments in future.

We rely on the generous charitable support of individuals and organisations to make our work happen.

You can enhance our life saving work by making a charitable donation to cancer research here at Newcastle. All donations go directly to NICR to support our research teams by funding equipment, research students and projects.

To make a one off gift to NICR, please send a cheque made payable to Newcastle University along with a completed Gift Form to:

Fundraise with Justgiving

Setting up a page through Justgiving makes it easy for you to promote your fundraising.  It also means that donations are managed safely and are automatically submitted to Newcastle’s cancer research.

  2. Set up a personal fundraising account
  3. Create a fundraising page for your event or activity
  4. Specify that you are raising money for cancer research at Newcastle University in the free text field under 'Your Story'. Please give as much detail about the area of research you wish to support as possible eg. Leukaemia.  This helps us to allocate your donation to the appropriate area of research.
