Bioinformatics Support Unit
Cutting-edge bioinformatics research and support
Our mission
To use computational approaches to further biological research through the analysis of data from small experiments to ‘big data’ sets at Newcastle University, with other academic institutes and commercial partners. To research and develop new analysis techniques and machine learning methods allowing the provision of novel insights in biological, clinical and environmental fields.
To organise high-quality, hands-on training in bioinformatics and computational biology to educate new and future practitioners of life science research.
